5 Stars Best Ever
The Sony Bravia KDL-26M4000 is by far the best Sony TV I have ever purchased. The picture quality is unbelieveable. Although this tv is a
HDLCD, I don’t have HD service but the picture is just like HD with just a cable hook-up. I highly recommend this model.
5 Stars Great Value
Excellent value. Arrived on time. Great place to do business. Will definitely shop there again.

4 Stars One of the Best
I’m exceedingly pleased with my Bravia. The picture quality is outstanding. The audio leaves a bit to be desired, and the remote is not what one would call user friendly. However, despite those issues, the product is excellent…it is what one can expect if the product is named SONY.
5 Stars Wonderful TV
The Television has a wonderful picture and is very attractive. Visitors to my home ALWAYS comment on how clear the picture is.
5 Stars Be smart consumer Sony still king
This TV is perfect for the person who doesn’t spend tons of money or time on their movie/tv/gaming lives. If you want top shelf pic you will have to pay out at least $2000. But for me, a mid level gamer-movie watcher-sports fan-this TV is awesome. Many people don’t know you need HD service to appreciate the quality. Many people don’t know about component cords and proper surround sound setup. I enjoy this TV for its quality and price, I am just an average person who won’t belly up and spend $2000 on a tv so for 700 it is perfect, with a brand that has been in the business for decades.
5 Stars Incredible at a great price point….
This Sony TV lives up to all of the industry and Amazon reviews. It is very attractive with any decor, easy to set up and can truly be viewed from almost any angle with excellent picture quality. I would say it is ideal for a viewing distance of up to about 12-15 feet. If you are going to view it at more than this distance, I would get a larger one.
I didn’t have any problems with ordering, shipping, etc. The only negative I have to say is that the remote is not very rugged, which is surprising given the high ticket price. Couldn’t they put a few extra dollars and give people a nice remote.
You definitely will not be disappointed with this TV for sporting events, correct rendering of flesh tones and adjusting to brightness within a room. Compared to other HDTVs without all of these useful (sometimes essential) features, it’s not an apples to apples comparison. If you get one of the less expensive types, the color changes when viewed from an angle, the brightness isn’t quite right, etc. Spend the extra money and get something decent, a TV is generally something you will use for a long time.
5 Stars great tv
I debated over buying another model, but this one is really worth the extra cost. The delivery service was poor. They had the wrong number and only after a couple of phone calls on my part did they set up a delivery date

5 Stars Very Well Pleased
I’ve been researching LCD TVs for over a year now. The two main things that drew me to this model are the SteadySound (volume leveling) and built in video upconversion features.
The SteadySound could be a bit more aggressive in limiting the dynamic range of the volume, but I’m being picky there, and nobody else has the feature at all, nearly as I can tell. It’s really nice not to have car dealer ads blare at me when it goes to commercial (do they *really* think that makes us *more* likely to buy from them?).
I could not be more pleased with the image quality on this set.
The way I see it, for now, and probably some time to come, most television channels will be SD. Even after the switchover I expect that to be the case. Because of that, I was most interested in a set that would not look crummy with an SD feed.
This set fills the bill. Yes, full up HD feeds do look much better than SD feeds do, but for the most part even SD feeds look even better on this set than they did on the CRT it replaced.
It’s a kick to see even my old VHS tapes looking great, and it’s nice to be able to contentedly wait for prices on Blu-Ray players to drift down out of nose-bleed territory.
For reference, I am a pretty techno-savvy fellow, but I also haven’t read the manual for this set, only referenced it via its index a few times to understand things on the menu that weren’t self-explanatory. I’ve found it easy to use and very pleasant to watch.
5 Stars Great Sony Picture Quality + white dot “sparkle” issue fixed
I just brought this TV and love love it. It was between this model and a Samsung model when I went looking. I had a lot of Sony products so I went with this model. I am so glad I did. We have another HD TV but the regular station look bland. Not withthis TV the regular stations look great and the HD station look even better. The TV has a guide which walks you through the steps to set it up which are very easy. I love this TV no regrets. It did cost a few hundred dollars more than some other brand models but well worth it. You won’t be sorry if you invest the extra money and get this TV.
Many folks are also complaining about the White dot (Sparkle) problem that can be seen during HDMI source playback at the top corner of the screen. Well it looks like Sony has fixed the issue through a simple software update for our TV. You simply have to either download the update to your USB flash drive or give Sony a call and they will mail you the USB flash drive with the update so you can connect it to your TV and update its software to fix this sparkle issue. As simple as that.
5 Stars Great product, flawless delivery
- The delivery of the product to my door was flawless.
- The KDL-40V4100 is a great product for its price, from the picture quality to the look of the product, everything is very good. I am satisfied with my purchase.
5 Stars Sony Bravia 40″ KDL LCD TV
Outstanding product. It’s even better than advertisement suggests. Delivery was fast. Product arrived in perfect contion.
5 Stars Absolutely perfect.
My experience with this set started of rocky. The first set I received was dead right out of the box (bad power supply). **I did not order my set from Amazon.**
After waiting a week, on pins and needles, for my replacement I can say it was well worth it. The picture is flawless. I am using the Dish Network ViP722 connected with HDMI. I have noticed no “sparkles” or artifacts of any kind. My locals received with an over the air anntena are flawless as well. As a note, I an using the ViP722 OTA input, and not the TV’s tuner. SD channels look good as well.
My SD DVD player displays well on the TV, but I have noticed some distortion on letters and words during opening and ending credits on some movies. I am positive that is due to the limitations of my DVD player, so I have an upconverting DVD player on order. BluRay is out of my current price point. I did connect my PC to the TV using the VGA connection, played a DVD, and sat in awe so I know that new life will be given to my DVD collection. I also played a level of Crysis and that was an awesome experience. I told my wife that I had found my new PC monitor, but she kindly asked me to put the computer back in the other room
I can not evaluate the TV’s speakers because I have an audio receiver running my sound, but I am using the Tosslink audio out connection to my audio receiver and that works flawlessly.
The TV’s menu is set up nicely, and the aspect and picture options are easily changed with the press of a button on the remote without having to access the menu.
I’ll end my review by saying this—Awesome TV!
