Antennas Direct DB8 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

Antennas Direct DB8 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

Intended for people at great distances from the transmitters, the DB8 is a powerful multi-directional HD antenna. In fact, its 15.8dB gain make it one of the most powerful multi-directional antennas available. The bow tie design of the DB8 uses triangular elements instead of rods to greatly increase the bandwidth allowing it to cover the entire UHF band. Additionally, the mesh reflector of the bow tie is more efficient than a rod reflector, is lower in weight, and provides less wind resistance for greater performance and durability. This DB8 is the ideal antenna for use in locations that can pull long range signals from various directions and offers an attractive alternative to using a directional antenna mounted on a rotator.

5 Stars Antenna
I am pleased with the antenna and it works well considering the great distance to the towers which is nearly 70 miles away. Several weaker stations do not pull in the signal as well. Overall I am pleased.
5 Stars It Just Works
Pros:
Does a great job receiving signals (successfully gets HD signals from Chicago 44 miles away even though it is the attic).
Cons:
Is more sensitive to direction that one would think for a “multi-directional” antenna. I found that moving the antenna less than 5 degrees oftentimes caused a channel to fade in or out.
4 Stars digital TV antenna review
I received the antenna really quickly. My only complaint….the instructions were pretty vague….didn’t even tell which side of the antenna was the “front”. Otherwise—once I “played” with it, I decided it works pretty well. Where I used to get 3 analog channels, now I get 14 digital ones.

Antennas Direct DB8 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna
An excellent product choice for medium to long range (30-60+ miles) reception of quality HDtv signals. Relatively easy to assemble, good sensitivity to signal strength optomization and a good ‘Antennas Direct’ return policy and practice (pay return shipping only). Just the trick for the San Francisco Bay Area reception from Sunnyvale.
5 Stars Good product! Fast Shipping!
Regular antennas generated very poor signal to my TV. Once I switch to use Antennas Direct DB8, it improves the signal to my TV. Now, I could see more channels than before. This is a very good product! Plus, fast shipping! A+++

5 Stars Samsun LN32A450 32″720p LCD HD Tv
I have had an excellent experience with this TV. It came in a double box and was easy to set up. I have cable service so I got a HD converter box to be able to watch in HD. It has an excellent picture and sound. I would highly recomend this tv. I also hook up all my video systems in to it to play video games. This is easily accomplished.
1 Star No go out of the box
I purchased this TV and when it was delivered, set it up, plugged it in, and it didn’t work. Contacted Amazon, who informed me that since their delivery service had not performed the ‘White Glove’ set up for me, I was not entitled to a replacement. I now got to deal with Samsung, whose policy is to repair. 1 month after purchase, I finally received my TV back from the repair company. Samsung states they have 21 business days to repair your set - and their policy is to repair, NOT replace a defective set. The repair service said I had a faulty power supply - that’s why the set would not even turn on. Hope the next 11 months of my warranty are better.
5 Stars Perfect Television to Wake Up To
We searched for a TV that had a wake up feature. We found out that not all TV’s had this option. Neither of us like to wake to an obnoxious radio alarm, and find this model perfect. We did some research and found this set to have everything we were looking for. The picture and sound is fantastic and found the directions easy to follow. Highly recommended. Packaged perfectly as well.
5 Stars Excellent TV
As a college kid, I could not afford a top of the line 1080p 32inch TV from Samsung, Sony, etc. So I decided to go for the LN32A450 since it fit just in my budget and it was from a good quality manufacturer. I was blown away at how great the picture looks. Xbox 360 looks stunning on it. I only wish the remote was backlit or atleast glow in the dark. Overall excellent entry level tv.
5 Stars Great TV
We got this for the bedroom and couldn’t be happier. Standard digital channels look good and HD looks amazing. Features are great such as the auto on that lets you specify days of the week and even the volume level you want the TV to come on. We use this for our alarm clock during the week.
The remote is a little too symetrical, meaning it’s easy to be pointing the wrong end and trying to operate it, but overall it’s laid out nice.
I should note that when the TV arrived and I opened the box, it did not have a few pieces of the stand packaged with it so I couldn’t use it for a while. However, Samsung easily and quickly shipped these out to me at no charge.
Really a great TV.

5 Stars Very satisfied.
My wife and I are very pleased with this t.v. The unit fits beautifully in our family room, the footprint on the same cabinet our old t.v. was on. The sound is probably average judging from what they say about sound on other similar tv’s. I decreased the treble to lessen the “sss” effect in some of the speech.
1 Star blank after a few months
I bought this TV from Sears with extended warranty . I loved it until couple months later, It went blank after I turned the power on . I called Sears and the tech came 5 times to fix and he finally couldn’t fix it . The problem has been going on for two months now and the broken TV is still at my house …
Panasonic used to be a really good branch but not any more . I am very disappointed with the TV, Panasonic 1 year warranty service and specially Sears’s 3 three years warranty service.
Will not recommend to any one .
4 Stars Very nice
It took a long time but I finally made up my mind and bought one. I’m on Comcast with extended basic. The tv tuned in all the local HD feeds and they look great. I particularly like the PBS channel’s HD feed, but all the major network’s pictures are fantastic. The audio from the HD feeds is nice and full. Overall the experience when watching HD feeds is super. The standard channels look ok with the right screen setting, at least no worse than my old tube. The TV is a little slow to change channels when you input the channel directly, but it moves quickly when navigating up or down. The HD channels are all number dash number. For instance, ABC is on channel 7, but the HD feed is 7-1. To tune that station I have to navigate up from channel 7. Not a big deal but I cannot input it directly.
I hooked up a Phillips upconvert DVD player using a three dollar HDMI cable I also found on Amazon and the picture is fantastic. It was definitely worth the 60 bucks I paid at Sam’s Club for it.
So, the picture looks great and the TV sounds good. I have the set in a very bright room and the antiglare does a nice job of eliminating reflections while not degrading the picture. My only regret is not getting the 50″.
5 Stars Got it at Sears because they had a horrible price!
First of all let me say that this is a spectacular tv! I first wanted an lcd at first but when I saw the plasmas, they really caught my eye. After a lot of research I wanted the th-42pz700u but then saw it side by side with the th-42pz77u and was sold. The 77u didn’t have the glare of the 700u thanks to it’s anti-glare and anti-reflective surface. Plus the colors seemed richer in the 77u. So it went on sale at Fry’s for $1199 and Sears had it for $1805. Sears has a price protection guarantee so I got it for $1199 that Fry’s had if for PLUS $51 off of that for a total of $1148. Sears gives you 10% of the difference in the price so the huge price difference worked in my favor! Love it!
2 Stars Great picture, not so great quality
Like a few of the other reviewers, we enjoyed this television for only a few months before it refused to turn on and displayed the dreaded blinking red light. Panasonic is going to send someone to our house in a few days. I wish that I didn’t have to worry about how long this set will last.

3 Stars It is what it is
it works and its not too cheap feeling
i used it to connect my ps3 to my monitor
one down thing is my ps3 has no headphone jack
so i get no sound but that has nothing to do with this cord
overall the pic was good and the price not bad
2 Stars Cable Stopped Working after 4 months
When I first received the cable it worked fine. Then one day the screen turned white, thought it was my componets, but it wasn’t, it was the cable.
5 Stars great
works perfectly, i used it to connect my ps3 to my 22″ monitor and it guves a 1080i res, which is awesome!
5 Stars No problems on both Windows and Mac OS X
I’m using this cable with a late-2007 MacBook Pro 15″ under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and Windows XP SP3 (with Boot Camp). The HDMI end is plugged into a 720p projector. In both operating systems, this cable has worked perfectly, without any problems whatsoever. Works great for playing video games, watching TV shows online, etc. As far as reliability is concerned, I’ve had it since August 2008 and no problems so far.
As another reviewer pointed out, it’s worth noting that the cable color itself is definitely a light gray and not the black that is shown on the product page. I’ll upload a picture at some point showing this.
1 Star Not as pictured
Item received was longer than 6 ft and light grey, not black. If these things are important to you, don’t buy.

5 Stars Still working after a year.
I bought mine at officemax in October of 2007, as of December 2008, it still works perfectly, although i still worry because of all the bad reviews.
4 Stars Great storage, added backup protection
I bought this external hard drive to back up my husband’s bird photos; considered it a more cost-effective method to online storage.
The unit, while plastic, was well packed and quickly shipped. Despite some critical reviews, I am pleased with the product. Installation was automatic on a Windows machine running XP Pro and took less than five minutes to install and customize the backups.
The Seagate Free Agent lets you retrieve files easily and settings can be adjusted for any type of automatic backup with the files and folders you choose to back up.
The 500GB storage size is perfect for most computers (Note: only 465GB actually available).
The slim vertical profile takes up no more space than a stapler.
The drive comes with a power cord, USB cable and installation instructions for both Windows and Mac. The User manual is pre-installed.
Installation and initial operation went flawlessly; I will be back with an update aftern further use, however, right now, I like it a lot.
5 Stars Great Product and a Great Buy
This was a great buy. The Seagate FreeAgent 500 GB is about the size of a book. Sits on my desk top and takes little space. I plugged it into a USB and it was ready to backup and save me in case of a Blue Screen of Death. I am happier with it than the big unit it replaced. The service and price were just great.Don’t lose your files, pics and music the Seagate Free Agent 500 GB will save your butt. I would reccomend this item from this seller to any one
1 Star Why this model is still on market??
Never ever touch this junk! Hard to believe this design is in production line… think about the heat ventilation grill on the bottom of the base which is always blocked whenever it stands. It takes me 2 month to talk with tech support and have tried more than 20 solutions provided by them and internet to fix the famous “can’t read” problem. After 20 up mins operation, the harddrive is overheated and refuse working. I searched on internet: some handy guy even open the cover and remove the light (trying to decrease heat accumulation, crazy…). I really don’t understand why this model is still on market. Seagate wants to train its support staff and test their(and customer’s) patience?– this is the only reason I can imagine.
5 Stars Solid workhorse for my home needs
I’ve got a pair of these sitting on my desk (with a 1 TB model to back them up). Seeing as my C: drive is only 160GB, just one of these drives serves as a backup of all my important documents and files, plus holds a TON of music, pictures and video.
And because these are so affordable, it’s well within reason to have a second one at its side backing up the first.
That’s just what I’ve done and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. These drives are super easy to set up - if you can plug a digital camera into your computer you can set one of these up - operate fast and are nice and quiet. No muss, no fuss, and without bundles of unnecessary bloatware to clog up your system. Just a good, solid hard drive.
Oh, and they’re darn spiffy looking, too.
I own THREE of these models and they’ve all chugged along without a kink. Mine see use for data storage, backups, to serve media to my Xbox 360, and to transport large amounts of data between computers.
Solid stuff. Recommended.
