5 Stars Excellent TV. No Complaints
We researched flat screen TV’s for about a year. My husband is a computer technician that also does audio/visual productions, so we knew what we were looking for in a TV. My husband said it was very easy to install. Amazon had the best price for this particular size and brand. We have had it about a month and are continually impressed with it. The HD channels we receive are just amazing. We will be purchasing another Samsung for our living room.

3 Stars Great Picture - Poor Sound
After doing much research I decided to buy the LN37A550. Amazon had the best price. The picture was eveything I expected. Easy to install and great looking finish. The first thing I noticed, the sound was ‘tinny’. After watching it for a one week I decided to return the unit. The “return” department was clearly in India and I could barely understand the woman I was speaking with. I ended up getting a VIZIO 37″ 1080P. Picuture is great! Sound is awesome. Next step is to purchase a home theater system sometime after Christmas.

1 Star My grandma’s 1973 black and white TV has better quality.
The picture quality on this television looks like crap. For anyone interested in good picture quality, buy a 13 inch CRT, buy a TV tuner, and plug it in to your USB port. You’ll get better video quality, trust me.

Avoid this junky HDTV crap.

5 Stars Fantastic TV and delivery
First, the white glove delivery service was perfect. They called the day before to schedule a delivery window and called 30 minutes before arriving. Delivery arrived right at the beginning of the delivery window. It was carried in, unpacked, powered on and hooked up to the component video feed to test the picture and audio. Everything worked perfectly out of the box.

This unit has a stunning picture with a plethora of tunable controls and features making this television a home run. I have a skylight and 4 windows in the room with the television so I was a little concerned about all the reviews mentioning the drawbacks of the glossy screen but it’s proved not to be an issue at all. There is a slight glare during the day but it’s actually far less than the glare on my old 32″ CRT. Also, the touch of red is barely noticable and the bezel in general is very nice. The included pedestal’s swivel capability is very nice as well. Finally, the 120Hz feature can make movies look fake but it’s great for sports viewing.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I love the TV, and delivery was prompt and condition excellent. The delivery man helped me bring it in, and set it up, then hauled away the box,etc. Amazon was very good about notifications as the order was being processed. Very happy, I’ll do this again with Amazon.

5 Stars After two months of use….
I’ve had the set for two months now.

From ordering to delivery to product quality, this was a very pleasant online purchase experience.

After narrowing my selection to Sharp, Sony, and Samsung, the Sammy won out based on picture quality and overall cost per feature. In deciding between the 650 and 750, the bezel on the 650 has a more elegant look. I thought the clear frame on the 750 looked and felt cheap, and prone to scratches, plus, I didn’t need the additional features of the 750. The red tint of the TOC bezel on the 650 is barely noticeable, and provides subtle warmth to the frame. I have TV mounted directly on the wall and it looks like a piece of art.

The picture is excellent and I have had no problems with this set. Since my viewing room has windows on both side walls, I was concerned about reflection. Like other reviewers noted, this is not a problem (unless you sit at an extreme angle with the screen black.)

I recently tried the photo view mode. It was seamless. The TV recognized the camera device plugged into the USB port and displayed a slide presentation. Using the remote, I easily navigated through the pictures on the camera.

I ordered my tv off of amazon on thursday night. i got a call on monday morning that it would be delivered later that afternoon. we unloaded the tv and set it up. it looked perfect! no scratches, no dings, everything was great! i was worried about broken pixels too, but i inspected every inch of the screen and i found nothing!

i was a little worried buying from amazon bc it’s not a brick and mortar store, but from all of the positive reviews, i decided to give it a try, and im glad i did. i saved $800 by buying it online. it feels like a sturdy, lasting tv (the spin wheel ipod wannabe selector is the only thing i could live without, but its a nice addition for something new).

the tv is great. i did a lot of research before buying it and im sure glad i did buy this one. samsung is a very reputable brand that stands up there with sony in quality. im hoping that this being a higher end LCD it will give me many years of viewing pleasure.

This is our first flat panel tv, and we couldn’t be happier. TV and DVD’s are superb quality. Sound may be a bit weak, but we can always add a speaker system. Highly recommended.

I have had this TV for 2 months. I wanted to get over the honeymoon phase before I wrote a review. Now this is my first HDTV, so I can’t compare to a whole list of other models but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that this TV has a great picture. The whites are very white and the blacks are very black. Having cable TV with HD is amazing. If you set this TV to the right setting I just can’t see another TV looking too much better(I found the settings at ATV forums-do a google search). I love watching football in HD. Everything is so clear and, at least for me, I do not see any trailing with the fast moving pictures of football. I don’t have a blu-ray yet so I really haven’t seen this TV at it’s absolute best but I can’t wait!

If you are debating on this TV or another, I can tell you that you can’t go wrong with this one - get the 52 inch - you can never go too big.

I didn’t see the need to spend the extra $500-600 for the 650 which added another hdmi or 2, the 120hz and the touch of color. That’s just my opinion but if you have the extra $ why not. But I love the piano black that surrounds this TV. It’s very clean looking.

As for the sound I never really listened to it. I have a Harmon-Kardon surround sound hooked up.

Overall I can’t see this TV being beat and I would definitely recommend this TV!!

I did buy the extended 3yr warranty but I haven’t had a single problem thus far. The price I paid for the TV - $1800

I had no problem with the tv. It is great so far. Glad I went this route and saved a few hundred bucks on taxes. The only issue was the delivery. This company used a delivery service CEVA. If you track your shipment you can actually schedule to get your product sooner. I found this out by tracking my shipment and calling the place. They gave a 4 hour window, and was 30 minutes passed the 4 hour window.

I did the research and ordered my Samsung LCD from Amazon because they offered this item at a great price with free shipping. It arrived within two weeks and I am delighted with the picture quality, clarity and ease of use. Samsung made impressing my wife with the A550 easy. One complaint, I wish the remote control sensors were on the upper portion of the panel instead of the lower right corner to better pick up the remote signal.

The picture on this TV was great but a few days after arrival I noticed a stuck pixel. I did not want a brand new TV with defective pixels, so I called Amazon. They took the TV back and issued a full refund. Amazon has taken the risk and hassle out of shopping on the internet.

This TV is one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I bought it as a gift to myself and I couldn’t be happier. I used to never watch TV. Now I can’t stop. Everything is perfect. Samsung has a great product in this big screen LCD. It has been great during this football season. A lot better than my team has been. This big screen LCD is everything it was advertised. It has a much better picture than the Visio for not much more money. The LCD reduces glare incredibly over a previously owned projection HD TV.

Amazons white glove delivery is just GREAT. They set it up, plug it in, any problems? give them or Amazon a call and they will ship it back.

What I like:

-Don’t let the 5 series foul you, the picture qualtiy is jaw dropping

-Black levels are deep and distinguishable

-ATSC/QAM tuner is great, got more Channels than I knew I had

-The Plug and Play option makes it quick and simple to start. (programs channels, time, and pre-adjusted settings)

-Sleek, simple, and sharp looking

-The remote has a backlit feature

-Comes with a cleaning cloth

Cons:

-PiP only works when you have 2 different sources running. (I.E) TV and XBOX 360,

-Speakers are on the back instead of the sides (not too bad if you change the settings)

There aren’t many negative issues with this TV. Consumer Reports rate this one of their favorite. I think its “The best bang for the buck.” Eventhough this TV might be last years model, it delivers great quality other brands lack.

Although 120hz is the next level or standard when it comes to HDTV (240hz is out also) 60hz is more then enough for everyday watching.

The TV did not lag when the NBA game was on, nor did it lag when playing the fast paced games on the Xbox 360.

Overall its a Great TV! No wonder Samsung is on Top of the list
