The picture on this TV was great but a few days after arrival I noticed a stuck pixel. I did not want a brand new TV with defective pixels, so I called Amazon. They took the TV back and issued a full refund. Amazon has taken the risk and hassle out of shopping on the internet.

This TV is one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I bought it as a gift to myself and I couldn’t be happier. I used to never watch TV. Now I can’t stop. Everything is perfect. I do feel sorry for the people who paid full price for this though. I got my at a local Circuit City for $1169 with their open box deals. That’s what I call a steal. Thanx Circuit City. Samsung has a great product in this big screen LCD. It has been great during this football season. A lot better than my team has been. This big screen LCD is everything it was advertised. It has a much better picture than the Visio for not much more money. The LCD reduces glare incredibly over a previously owned projection HD TV.

Amazons white glove delivery is just GREAT. They set it up, plug it in, any problems? give them or Amazon a call and they will ship it back.

What I like:

-Don’t let the 5 series foul you, the picture qualtiy is jaw dropping

-Black levels are deep and distinguishable

-ATSC/QAM tuner is great, got more Channels than I knew I had

-The Plug and Play option makes it quick and simple to start. (programs channels, time, and pre-adjusted settings)

-Sleek, simple, and sharp looking

-The remote has a backlit feature

-Comes with a cleaning cloth

Cons:

-PiP only works when you have 2 different sources running. (I.E) TV and XBOX 360,

-Speakers are on the back instead of the sides (not too bad if you change the settings)

There aren’t many negative issues with this TV. Consumer Reports rate this one of their favorite. I think its “The best bang for the buck.” Eventhough this TV might be last years model, it delivers great quality other brands lack.

Although 120hz is the next level or standard when it comes to HDTV (240hz is out also) 60hz is more then enough for everyday watching.

The TV did not lag when the NBA game was on, nor did it lag when playing the fast paced games on the Xbox 360.

Overall its a Great TV! No wonder Samsung is on Top of the list

4 Stars Nice little TV
This is a nice little TV. It’s definitely not the TV for your living room home theatre extravaganza, but it’s a great bedroom/office television. The picture is sharp and vibrant, the features are easy to control via remote, and despite what I’ve seen others say, the viewing angle is just fine. I’ve had no issues with the image washing out (note: this TV is on a dresser top and sits about 3.5′ off the ground — not wall-mounted).

Others have also complained about the sound. I find the sound to be sufficient for my purposes, and one could easily hook up an outside audio system if not satisfied. But since this TV isn’t big enough to be your main home entertainment TV, I don’t see much point in doing that if you stick it in your office or bedroom. I don’t need surround sound while I’m laying in bed at night. The price is decent. I’ve had great luck with Samsung products in the past (though this is my first Samsung TV) and this TV seems to follow suit.

Just a couple minor issues: (1) I wish it had an S-video input in the back rather than on the side; and (2) it’s not a great TV for gaming, at least not for older gaming systems. I hooked up my old Xbox and popped in Madden and noticed a bit of motion blur. Maybe the TV is better with the newer generation of systems running 780p (i.e., Xbox 360, PS3) but I’m too old to go buying new video game systems anymore.

Overall, I’d recommend it for a budget-minded buyer looking for an entry-level HD TV, or someone looking for a TV to have in the bedroom/office.

I am Very Happy with this TV. Good picture and I didn’t have to change anything. Some people complained about the sound so I planed on hooking it up to my Stereo but I don’t have to, sound is good.

5 Stars Best 26 inch I’ve ever seen
I’ve been looking for a t.v. that was fit enough for my room and this t.v.justs exceeds my expectations. The picture on standard channels is great and on HD it’s amazing. Everything is so clear and sharp. I’ve compared it to a 42 inch Samsung that my aunt has and to me they look equal in terms of picture quality except mines is a lot sharper. My Xbox 360 games are unbelievable and there is no motion blur at all. It’s a shame that I have to sell mine because I need money to buy books for college. I’m really going to miss this t.v. because it is that good.

Picture Quality: 10

I see no problems with the picture quality of both standard and high definition channels. It’s just amazing how good it looks at this size.

Sound Quality: 8

The speakers do an adequate job with sound but it lacks enough bass. Still it’s better than others I heard.

Inputs: 10

3 HDMI inputs and two component inputs are more than enough for any High Definition device.

Viewing Angle: 7

The viewing angle is good when your looking at it directly but it gets brighter as you move up and darker as you move down. Still if you just attach the stand and only have it at eye level then you’ll be perfectly fine. This is only a concern if you decide to mount the t.v.

Price: 9

So far I’ve seen this t.v. sell for about $500 and under. It’s a steal at that price.

Overall I love this t.v. and I’m REALLY going to miss it. Maybe in the future I’ll get a bigger version of this t.v. but right now I can’t think of anything else that has a better picture than this at this size.

the speaker system is very weak, can’t seem to get enough power but the picture is great with sharp color, need to improve on the 26″ I also have 50″ that works perfect and sounds great.

This is a great little TV for fairly close viewing (have it in the kitchen). Very sharp picture, works great right out of the box - no need to fine-tune etc. Easy to wall mount. Built-in digital tuner - automatically found both digital and analog channels on the cable.

Negatives: Not much - too many buttons on the remote (what else is new??).

1 Star Sound is horrible.
I got this television today and as soon as I turned it on noticed how terrible it sounded. The picture was great, but I couldn’t get around the tinny sound that made to tv seem loud no matter how I lowered the volume. I tried manipulating and could not find a decent setting. It’s the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. I generally like Toshiba products so I was very disappointed with this television and am sending it back tomorrow morning. If you care at all about how your television sounds, do not buy this TV.

5 Stars Answer to 16:10 Aspect Ratio Controversy
All 19 inch HDTV’s regardless of brand have a 16:10 aspect ratio.

This is because 19 inch computer monitors are 16:10 and they out number televisions by the billions.

To keep the cost down TV makers buy the same LCD panels made for computer monitors. Unless you would pay $1000 for a 19 inch set, I doubt any company will ever custom order a 16:9 panel for television manufacture.

A lot of these TV’s can be set to 16:9. There will be a small black bar on the right and left edges since the panel is wider. But a lot of people hate the black bar, so there you go..

The reviewer here who was returning the TV because of this “defect” will be sadly disapointed when he buys a new 19 inch set and discovers it is also 16:10

I think this tv is fantastic. The order came pretty quick, and it was free delivery, and the quality of the picture is beautiful. I am now forever in love with HDTV, the colors in the picture are just awesome and amazing.

This is definitely a great tv for the price, good imagine (you can even adjust the level in case of the back you get from screens) even the sounds is ok. It takes a while to come up once you turn it on, but it’s just a matter to get used to it. I would definitely recommend it to anybody that is looking for a good tv at this kind of price. I must say that when I ordered this TV through Amazon I might have been a little reluctant. I did comprehensive research on this TV against a comparable Samsung unit. I decided to go with this TV simply because it was $700 dollars cheaper with the same specs. I received my TV yesterday plugged it in and did some personal adjustments to the color for about 5min and was BLOWN away at the quality of the picture. It looks amazing. Our couch is about 10ft away from the TV and there is no loss of picture quality at all. The unit is SILENT and does NOT get hot what so ever. I ran the TV for 8hrs and it did not even feel warm. A must have for your living room. The “White Glove Service” was AWESOME. They set the appointment and gave me a window of 12pm to 6pm. The TV was set up on the stand at 12:30pm. I will definitely make more purchases on Amazon.com. BUY THIS TV!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

You don’t know me from Adam but I will tell you that this TV is the best plasma ever manufactured and Amazon has the best price ANYWHERE!! I researched televisions for almost 3 years before making an HD TV purchase. Panasonic plasmas have what the industry refers to as, “True Mirror Image.” LCDs are good televisions but they can’t touch the way in which the visual picture is represented with life-like tones and ultimate clarity on this plasma.

The highlights from my research are as follows:

1. This television has a viewing life of 100,000 hours. This is the highest rating among all televisions (LCD and Plasma alike). Samsung and Sony only rate their televisions at approximately 65,000 viewing hours

2. Panasonic has the lowest return rate as well as maintenance issues (for the past 5 years) - As listed in 3 out of the 4 major Consumer Electronics reporting guides

3. There is no major glare issue and I have it in a well lit room. When the tv is on there is no more glare than my old tube television

I could go on an on about this television but have to get back to work ASAP. Bottom-line is that this tv is so FRIGGIN’ amazing that I just purchased the 42″ of the same model series from Amazon for my upstairs bedroom and I’ve only had my 50″ for over a month now.

GO BUY THE TV from Amazon (but make sure it’s through their “White Glove Delivery” service because it comes straight from them.

Best electronics purchase I’ve made in the past 10 years.

I just got my new panni plasma yesterday and I have to say it is a great plasma for the money! I’ve done enough research over the past couple of months, you’d think I was searching for the lost Ark! But, it helped alot in picking the right set. I watched ” the incredible hulk” last night on blue ray and it was awsome! Picture quality is really good and its not even calibrated yet. Standard tv is ok, but after watching HD its hard to go back! The sound is pretty good also, except for high volume. All in all, I am very pleased with this plasma and with the service with Amazon!

Ordered this unit on a Sunday Morning and Ceva delivered with their white glove service on Friday. Quick and great service and way better than expected.

This is my first HD TV and I am really impressed. Was concerned about the Samsung T of C and once seen in person, I love it. It is not red at all. Imagine looking through a bottle of cherry coke through the bottle .. very subtle and classy. Real nice touch.

As far as quality, this passes and by far, the best picture that I have ever seen. Read a bit about sound quality. Only having this tv for one day, sound is more than satisfactory. Home theatre system I am sure would be even better, but, really good as is.

For sure what recommend this tv. In fact, I will probably buy the 52″ for my family room really soon.

Was a bit hesitant to buy Samsung, I believe in Sony, but was suprised by this tv. For the price it had everything i needed and some thing i did not but was glad to have as extras. It cheaper than Sony i wanted with similar specs so i think i got the best value for my money. HD picture is beautiful. Have no problems with red color.

This TV is amazing, the price at Amazon.com even more amazing! I love the features of this TV, still haven’t even gotten to see 1080p/120Hz yet, but I saw it in Best Buy and it looks 5x more amazing than 1080i/60Hz. I would recommend this TV to anyone, Perfect size for a medium/small living room or bedroom, I personally would go bigger if I had a larger living room. This one is in my bedroom on a three tiered glass stand, and it looks amazing!

The picture on this unit is unbelievable. Going from a vizio to this blew my mind. It is almost like you are watching 3d.

The size is actually perfect for about 8 to 12 feet distance away from the television. You should refer to cnet’s size chart for the right size tv for you.
