I have found this TV very satisfactory. I am using it in the kichen

to replace a 13″ and am enjoying the very clear and good color picture.

I would recommend it highly for use in any room.

5 Stars Samsung LN19A650 Flat Panel
This LCD flat panel gets a great HD picture and sound with just an attic antenna. Menu system is easy to follow and setup is very easy. Would have been nice to have a SLEEP button on the remote rather than having to go through the TOOLS menu. Also, I was disappointed to find you cannot do a picture slide show using a USB flash drive and the USB port on the TV like I can on my Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color.

4 Stars Great picture, minor design flaws
We were looking for a new TV for the bedroom but were a bit reluctant to order a TV via the web due to concerns about potential damage during shipping. But we had no problems; Amazon shipped the TV well packed. Set up was easy: the channel scan took about 15 minutes and picked up everything. The picture is sharp, bright and colors are good, audio is totally fine. HD channels are especially crisp but all are easily watchable. The viewing experience is quite satisfactory except for a few minor gripes.

Where Sansumg could have done a better job is with the controls located on the front of the set: they’re essentially unusable. They are touch sensitive but impossible to see. Which brings you to the remote. But the remote is ergonomically challenged: you can’t tell which end you’re holding by touch - you need to look. And some of the buttons are so close to the bottom edge, you need to either use two hands or shift the remote around in your hand - the Favorites button is one example. If like most people you’re used to operating you’re remote by touch without looking, you may have a hard time. These are admittedly minor, and a generic remote will likely solve the issue.

All in all, we’re quite pleased with this set and would recommend it.

As others have said don’t let the “touch of red” keep you for your purchase. I like the color it makes it look more richer. As for the connections on the back of the set, if you need to hook it up to any device, it has a connection for it. I read many reviews on this set as well as reviews on other web sites. The rating for this is very high, and after receiving it, the reviews didn’t let me down. The picture is just fantastic. It’s has a whole lot of setting for any kind of lighting. There were only two things I didn’t like 1. I thought the set up of the channels was a bit on the long side, it took about 30 minutes. 2. When you turn the set on, it has a delay which is a bit annoying. I do have basic cable which only has about 70 channels; I guess it had to check for HD which takes quite a long time. I’m not one of those high tech folks out there, but I do know that Amazon had the lowest price!!! It’s worth every penny. I’m so glad I decided on the Samsung LN19A650

4 Stars Agree, this is a fantastic TV, but it’s small…
This is my first LCD TV, so I cannot compare it to others, but it is a great price for such a quality TV. I also with others agree below that I can’t see the red touch of color red of the trim while watching tv, phew! I bought this to replace my 19″ CRT TV. Very sleek looking but because it’s a more rectangular shape (much more than in the picture on this website), when not viewing in ‘wide screen’ mode (16:9), but rather 4:3 like a regular tube TV, the picture size is actually the equivalent of a 16″ tube tv! i almost returned it for the 22″ version as soon as i opened it but I just couldn’t be bothered so i’ll deal with this one for a while. Honestly, if you will be sitting any further than 5′ away from the TV, go for the 22″ screen. Sound is fine for this size TV. On screen menu is fantastic, side controls on the face of the tv are very hard to see as they are specifically supposed to blend in. It’s fine though, i’d prefer having to look harder than see them all the time. And I’m sure 99.5% of the time I’ll be using the remote, so no biggie. Very slim design. I actually really like this tv, my only regret is not going bigger. It’s about $100 more for the LN22A650, so if you’re hemming and hawing and can afford it, go 22″, if you are really into your tv, like movies or watch a lot of HGTV.

I just purchased a Samsung LN22A330 22-inch LCD TV. As other reviewers noted, the sound quality is poor, no, make that annoying! If you raise the volume more than 30%, the low tones start to rattle and garble. Not a good feature for Samsung. I’m definitely disappointed with the poor sound quality; will probably have to attach speakers to it for decent sound projection. Other than that, I am very pleased with the rest of the set.

4 Stars Very pleased, and room for improvement
This TV has exceeded expectations. Having read many previous reviews criticizing the sound quality and/or volume, I was apprehensive but finally decided to try it out. So glad I did! It’s only been hooked up for a few hours, but I’m thoroughly pleased (and I’m watching/listening from nearly 20′ away! And the volume isn’t even 1/4 of capacity. (As far as being 20′ away, that’s *not* my usual TV-watching distance, but right now I’m in the dining room and looking into the living room where the TV is positioned to face me, and I’m impressed.) There are a couple of things I’d tweak on the remote, including adding backlighting, but really this is not a complaint.

5 Stars Good TV for the price
Pros: Good picture, lots of inputs. Works well with my PC (DVI to HDMI cable). Cons: Gets a little hot. Menu kinda sucks. When you turn on the TV it doesn’t go to the active input. You have to scroll with the remote everytime. Sound is ok, but i never expect too much from TV speakers. For the price this is a better choice than a Panasonic, imo. I’ve had it for 3 months now. Amazon white glove delivery was great.

Ive had this tv for a couple of weeks now and I am extremly satisfied. The color is amazing, and the blacks are deep and rich. And for the price you wont find anything comparable. I did a lot of research before this purchase and everything I read pointed me towards this tv. CNET.com is a great site to do your research on. If your concerned about the red tint on the border of the tv, dont be. It doesnt light up or anything (I thought it did) and it is hardly noticeable. Dont let that sway you one way or another.

The price on amazon is, as usual one of the cheapest around. There was one other site that was less expensive but I never dealt with that web site before and shipping was extra. When I purchased this tv from amazon it was only about [...]bucks more and the shipping was included. Also the shipping was white glove into my living room and actually arrived a day earlier then they promised! They did call me ahead of time to make sure it was okay they delivered early and of course I said yes.

5 Star product, with 5 star delivery.

If you want more information on the performance of the tv I’d advise you to check out cnet.com and do a search for the pn50a650. They also have a comparison between the Samsung and the Panasonic. Samsung wins by a mile.

I purchased a Samsung 650 Plasma and was amazed.. Understand, I didn’t trust the internet purchase and was not sure if this was really the product I wanted. (LCD vs Plasma) No doubt the right decision. Process was safe with Amazon and the delivery Company was great.. The delivery company called to confirm the delivery, respectfully conversed with us, and pulled the TV out of the box, placed it on the table and showed me it was working as planned. Asked if I wanted the box or they would hold it for me. More about the the 650. Did I say WOW… I just wanted a tv I would be happy with and not regret my decision. LCD vs Plasma.. Tough decision. My co worker does this for a living and talked me out of a LCD ..Great move..Distance from the TV is 8- 18 feet. Love watching Football and Hockey. Great angle viewing and glare is not there. (I get alot of sunlight in the room) Sound is of good quality.

Bottom line, we all want a quality product and a good price. With the money I saved, I bought cables, wall mount and a power washer and still saved money compared to Best buy.. You will be happy with this decision!!!!

The TV is beautiful. I got it just in time for football season. The delivery people blew off our appointment and I didn’t get the Plasma until a week later.

5 Stars Beautifull TV
I have now had a month to view this TV and I must say I have no complaints. First, the delivery was flawless. The shipping company was on time, unpacked the TV, placed it on my stand and even took away the packaging. The viewing experience has to be experienced to be believed. I have an extensive DVD collection and also a smaller Blu Ray collection so I tried a good sample of both to get a feel for the quality of the display.

The Blu Ray disks are absolutely gorgeous. The Blue Planet disk showed the blue color as well as my old Sony. I always thought that Sony did the best job with color accuracy especially the blues but I must say this set matched Sony if not exceeded it.

I am very pleased with this plasma especially considering the reasonable price.

I have only used this TV attached to a HD Sat. Great picture right out of the box, I have not changed settings at all.

The sound is adequate for a small room or a quiet environment but I intend to use the optical output to hook it up to my 5.1 sound system. (nice feature!)

It’s amazing how light this TV is. Under 30 Pounds? The 27″ glass TV this replaced weighs about 70.

5 Stars Nice TV for the money
This is a very nice TV. I have had this tv since about 7/30/08.

Pro’s: The TV has a very good tuner, I was able to hook it to my basic cable with Comast and was able to get about 16 HD channels and 10 or more digital channnels. I haven’t tried over the air tuner. HD channels look great, Standard Def channels look good. I have this set up in the bedroom and it works great for this purpose. 720p is all you need in this size of TV. The Favorite channels you can set up are great, on the remote you have favorites a to c and you can set 4 channels under each letter.

Con: Remote has to be pointed directly at the TV but not too bad

Other thoughts: I still haven’t hooded this to my Direct TV receiver yet, so I can’t comment on how the digital picture looks like from it! Nor have I gamed on it yet. TV does have a game setting and game timer!

If you are in the market for a 32′ LCD and want a quality brand name for a good price with plenty of options this is the one for you!

5 Stars Great TV. Best value for the money spent.
This is my first HDTV (I am an electronics engineer so, it took very long for me to buy one that i like). But this tv blows me off. Great natural colors, no bright and deep colors as in other samsung and toshiba Tvs.

The Menu is simple but even then it gives wide range of adjustments. Don’t be attracted by the video reviews of the other TVs given all over the internet about the different options you can change on your TV because you know what, not many people use all those menu items. This has got bunch of inputs to it and it also have a headphone jack. I added my Bose system to this TV and it really gives a great Movie Experience.

The edges can be a little too glossy, but if you are a person who likes to keep the things neat, you will love the gloss.

Very useful menu item as skipping the Inputs makes this more versatile.

16 ( 4 x 4 ) Customizable favourite channels make life a little more easy. I bought this TV for the olympics and the NBC gives a HighDefinition Feed using the regular cable(no HD receiver required to watch some of the channels like NBC, TNT, A&E ) and its absolutely stunning. I also get some digital channels that are great. The audio can be skipped between mono, stereo, surround where available.

This is a tv that can be rated more than 5.

Pros: Everything.. really amazing tv.

I cannot believe you are still reading the review instead of going to the store and buying one. But for those who ” have to read ” here are the

cons: The Remote has to be really pointed to the receiver which can be a pain somtimes and also the channels skip a little slow, but that doesn’t bother me.

note: avoid plasmas they give out toomuch glare.

If you are looking for a tv at this size, it really doesn’t make a lot of difference between 720p and 1080p/i. it only matters when you go for a more bigger tvs.

And as an electronics engineer , i can safely say, that Sharp carrys one of the greater tv screens if not BEST.

I use this TV in my bedroom. The picture and features are great! I’m very happy that I decided to make this purchase, although the screen does look a little smaller than I thought it would. You may wish to consider a 20″ or 22″ instead. The 19″ does work OK for me, though, because I’m only about 5′ away from it.

I wish Amazon would be more careful with their packaging. The TV came in its original box from the mfg’er, which was put into a box about twice as large with very little packing material for cushioning. Very poor job, Amazon!

5 Stars Wonderful set at a great price!
I am very pleased with this set! I’d purchased it to place in my kitchen; the viewing distance from my kitchen table to the set is 8 feet, and I can watch with perfect visibility; the kitchen counter stretches another 7 feet and I am fine viewing the screen from that distance as well. Hooking up the HD cable box is a piece of cake, and I’d completed the task within 20 minutes; the TV will then automatically update the channels and you can of course, customize them as well. The color is great, and the deep red color within the frame of the set is very subtle. I truly believe that the clarity and crispness of this picture is better than my larger diameter HD set! Additionally, Samsung ranks high on dependability…

The savings on the set is significant; PC Richards offered me a “rock bottom” price of $450.00; with tax, it was topping out at $481.00. Here at Amazon, there wasn’t any sales tax, and being I am an Amazon prime member, I received 2 day shipping at no extra charge! Collectively, it is a savings of over $100.00!

Buy this set; you won’t be disappointed!

clearly the Key Features say:

Rear-mounted USB 2.0 port: connect USB devices directly to your HDTV to view JPEG photos or MPEG movies or easily listen to your MP3 player through your HDTV’s audio system or your home theater system.

but, not on this unit. in fact, not till you get to the 30″ 6 series. That is too bad. After a ton of research, and confirmed with tier two support, the feature listed is not accurate.

We bought this HDTV for use in our small travel trailer. It is a perfect size and weight. The picture is clear and crisp. We are quite happy with our choice. It is a great value.

I also support those commenting on the TOC red. It is almost not visable. Don’t let it scare you off. I was afraid my wife would freak out, but she did not even know it was there until I told her.

A couple of folks complained the picture was too small (it’s 19″ - it won’t be any bigger than that - do your homework).
