5 Stars ULTIMATE HD/BLU-RAY EXPERIENCE!!!
Okay, I will make this short and sweet - This Plasma TV is absolutely the best big-screen experience I have ever witnessed - I have used several large format/hd monitors, Mitsubishi, Proscan, Sony, etc., and this one outperforms them all -

To those who complained about the problems with attaching their computer or video game machines - it’s very simple DON’T!!! This TV and it’s Wireless Components are designed for one thing - ABSOLUTE VIDEO - from high definition programming or Blu Ray DVD ——It is not an add-on for a Playstation or Xbox!!!

It is really a shame that SamSung is being criticized for designing and producing this TV - I can only state that if you want an unbelievable High Definition and Blu Ray picture, you owe it to yourself to check this instrument out………THANK YOU SAMSUNG!!!

1 Star Not good for anything but watch TV delay is 180 ms
The Wireless causes the picture to delay for at least 180ms, your surround reciever needs to be able to delay or it will look like a bad synch’ed movie. Not any good for Wii or PS3, the wireless does break up once i a while, but there is no cable mess at all. I will return this TV and get another with long HDMI cables.

1 Star Shame on Samsung!
Shame on them for not plastering across the box of this unit in big red letters “CANNOT BE USED FOR ANYTHING BUT TV AND DVD!!!!!” The delay between the wireless box and the screen makes playing video games impossible and using the set with a computer in a business environment for things like powerpoint presentations a major annoyance. Why even release the thing until you have sufficient technology to fix this problem? We aren’t THAT desperate for a wireless plasma! These days, even an elderly couple who would never in a million years consider playing a video game on their TV needs to take this into consideration because their grandkids will likely be coming over for the weekenend with their Nintendo Wii. What if they don’t find out until a year or so after they purchase it? What a bummer! Like I said, shame on Samsung. This set will really be a letdown to a lot of people at some point during their ownership.

3 Stars DO NOT USE FOR VIDEO GAMES!
The wireless system creates a delay that makes this TV unsuitable for use with video games. I have both a Nintendo Wii and a computer hooked up to the TV. With both, there is a noticeable and significant onscreen delay. If you simply want to watch television, this product is fine. However, if you want to use it for games, select another TV, you will be disappointed with this one.

5 Stars Very good HDTV
This Sharp LCD HDTV Is great. Has a super clear picture… works flawlessly in 480P mode with my Nintendo Wii and Dvd. The built in digital tuner was able to pick up about 15 Digital HDTV Channels using a standard indoor rabbit ears antenna. I am also very impressed with the black level and contrast. Will also connect to a pc in in full 1360×768 resolution. This tv also has an optical out for connecting a dolby digital 5.1 tuner. It amazing to get True DD 5.1 surround sound from shows such as CSI Miami. The built in speakers are only 2 watt. So I recomend use of external speakers with this set. the resolution of 720P is perfect for this size HDTV. 480p sources such as dvds and wii across the component cables scale very well and look great. I would highly recomend this set to anyone looking for a high quality Small size HDTV set.

2 Stars Returned the set. Couldn’t hear it.

I was hyped about this new model. I paid top dollar from my local electronics store since I needed a new tv for my kitchen ($459). I wanted the new tuner that would pick up all the signals after the changover next febuary. Well I hooked it up and thought it was everything I hoped, super clear screen. The problem is even with the audio on full it seems like it’s on low. I returned it for a Toshiba whick had just as nice of picture and nice volume. What good is a tv if you can’t hear it? Unless your not using the tv’s speakers I would avoid this set.

2 Stars No HDMI PC/Mac support?
When I paid for this 19″ SHARP, I asked if it supported HDMI input from a PC/Mac to serve as a high-resolution monitor. Despite being extremely specific with my question, I was apparently lied to and purchased an LC display that DOES NOT support HDMI input from a computer.

While the LC-19SB25U supports A/V input from an HDMI cable, it refuses to calibrate or connect with my computer. As a PC/Mac monitor it only supports VGA input which is NOT high-definition. A standard VGA-out tube television can do the same thing for $30.

To compare, I also own a 27″

5 Stars Suits my needs perfectly - great image for the money
I have had this product for about three weeks now, and so far I am very pleased with it. The picture, which I receive from an indoor/outdoor antenna is extremely crisp. I would recommend those of you out there pondering whether or not to get cable/satellite to consider simply installing a good antenna - that way there is no video compression, and you actually get a sharper image from the local networks. I honestly cannot tell the difference between my TV’s image as a 720p and my brother-law’s 47″ 1080p Sony.

The TV menu is easy to see and use. I keep my video settings on sports generally, as it is the brightest picture (some of the others, like “movie” are just too dark for me). However, you can also adjust the picture in preference mode, and play around with brightness, sharpness, contrast, backlight, color, and tint.

I also own a wii system, and even though it is not high definition like some other gaming systems, I have to say that the picture on this TV is excellent (especially with the wii component cables attached).

The sound on the TV is also very full - I did not notice any tinniness coming from the speakers at all, and it seemed well balanced between base and treble. It will obviously not produce the same depth of sound as a full sound system, but it suits my needs perfectly.

There is, as the other reviewer indicated a minor lag time when switching between inputs, but this really doesn’t bother me. One mildly annoying element however is that most of the inputs (HDMI, component cables (AKA color stream), PC inputs, S-Video, etc.) are on the back of the TV, which is a mild nuisance. The only exception to this is Video 2, which is on the side. (This would probably be good for connecting a digital camcorder and the like).

The only other thing that seems a little inconsistent is PC connectivity. When I hook up my laptop (I use an RGB computer video cable and audio cable since my computer doesn’t have a built in HDMI port) it is necessary for me to turn the laptop off, connect the cables and then reboot, or the image will not display on the TV. Perhaps this is a standard thing for most TVs - I don’t really know, having never owned an HDTV with PC inputs before. Also, the TV seems to project the computer screen a little differently each time the computer is hooked up, and I sometimed have to do a little tweaking to get an image I’m happy with. This may just require more trial-and-error on my part. Since my primary purpose is to use the TV as a TV screen and DVD player and not a computer screen, this isn’t a big deal to me.

On the whole, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. It does its job well, displaying an excellent, non-pixelated image and it is even an energy star product, so it should save energy and money. There are other good deals on the market, but I really think that this is one of the best. It is hard to beat the price being offered by Amazon right now.

I will update later if my opinion of this product changes or I have anything more to add.

4 Stars Good value on 32 inch LCD
The Toshiba 32AV502U seems to be a good value for a 720p LCD. It was easy to set up on the stand; the hook-up to my cable, TIVO unit, and playstation was easy; the initial set up for all the available channels was pretty easy and fast; and the picture is great. The only negatives are that the remote control & remote control buttons are too small, the ability of the set to switch between various functions seems a little slow (in other words moving from one menu screen to the next), and the process of switching back and forth between inputs is especially slow and tedious. Maybe as I learn more about the functions I can figure out a faster way to accomplish this but I haven’t found anything in the manual yet or by playing with the various buttons.

5 Stars Good entry level HD television
I have had this product for about 2 weeks now and am very pleased with it, and I don’t even have an “upscaled” or “upconverted” DVD player (yet) and am basically watching 480ip (or whatever they call it). The difference between LCD and CRT is truly amazing. I got it at a really good price and even if deflation drops HDTV prices through the floor (at which point I will cry), I’ll feel proud that I helped the sagging American economy as much as I could. Seriously, if you’re on the fence, go ahead an get it. It’s a well built, solid, crisp, sharp little machine and you’ll love it. Like another reviewer said, though, if within a month or so it’s sputtering and tweaking on me, I’ll revise this so fast it will make yer head spin.

4 Stars Beautiful, seems like best bang for buck
I bought this LCD the weekend of Black Friday. I was hesitant, but i could not pass up on the price match I was getting. It comes in a big box, light sturdy.

Initial set up was easy plug and play done. The stand is easy to place and comes with screws. Channel set up is easy, finds the channels fast. This has different mode sin which you can set, for an example; gaming mode, theater mode, sports mode, and normal. I use this especially for gaming with my PS3 and Oh my God it is BEAUTIFUL! picture is so crips and clear.

the only problems I discovered is

remote lags at times. Really oversize remote. Buttons sometimes lag to perform.

A few times my speakers seem to crackle, pop.then come back to orignal sound, but i think it may because im still on regular cable. but otherwise ok.

the lcd hd tv is very sexy, sleek looking I LOVE IT!

Premium Gold Plated Component AV Cable for Nintendo Wii

Compatible with: Nintendo Wii console system only

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Does as advertised.
It does what it’s supposed to do without diminishing the overall quality I would get without it.

Doesn’t improve anything visually that I can notice, just gives me a cheap component cable for the Wii.

I wouldn’t bother with it if you don’t actually need the component cable for your home system.

5 Stars Good quality cables
“All you need is 480p vs 480i. These cables do just that, and you won’t get High Def out of Wii no matter what cables you use.”

5 Stars If you have a Wii connected to HDTV get this
Again a must have accessory for a Wii owner. This cable improves picture quality from Wii to your HDTV. This works better than the RCA cable that comes along with the Wii package.

4 Stars good to go
I like the cable it works the only reason i gave it 4 starts was because i cant peel back the audio jacks to plug them in to surround sound when using a projector

5 Stars works fine
This product works well and is inexpensive. I didn’t have a problem with the original 480i connection and honestly don’t see a big difference, but I didn’t spend time making a direct comparison. I bought a new TV and needed this type of setup.

5 Stars Love It, Love It, Can’t watch enough of it!
I started my search for my first widescreen TV, the Samsung 50″ Plasma, on Amazon.com (because it was the lowest price I could find on the Internet at the time) which heavily influenced my decision on what TV to buy. After reading several reviews, I decided on this TV and every good thing that was written about it was absolutely true. I mounted it over my fireplace which has a rock venire. The Touch of Color couldn’t look any sweeter against the rock. I not only connected my Macbook and Wii to it but was pleasantly surprised to find that the HDMI v1.3 interfaces support both video and audio with the one HDMI cable for my upconverting 1080i DVD player. I have an old but durable TV antenna in the attic so I thought it was cool for the TV to have a signal strength meter in the setup menu to help find the best placement of it for optimal HD over the air reception. That works very well also! The picture is outstanding. I didn’t have any trouble with it being damaged in transit. The white glove delivery was cool which brought the TV to where I wanted it in my house, unboxed it, and turned it on to make sure it wasn’t DOA. The TV arrived in about 5 days from when I purchased it online which included a weekend. The sound wave that plays when you turn it on and off is really cool. The TVs in Korea do that when I was there recently. If I have any regrets at all about the TV, one is that I didn’t get the Blu-Ray player when I purchased the TV which offered $200 off the $299 price. The other is that the USB port on the TV plays MP3s from a flash drive but unfortunately doesn’t work with the IPOD. Apparently it only works with Windows FAT32 and not anything else. When I was in Korea, the only IPOD Touches I saw were sported by Americans. Too bad. I haven’t hooked up the Ethernet port on the TV yet but since I can connect my laptop using the TV as the primary monitor, I didn’t care too much about getting RSS feeds on the TV. The manual says that it only supports a Samsung wireless Ethernet adapter if you want to go Wi-Fi. That seems pretty childish. Proprietary devices end up limiting the acceptance of a technology, not helping it. Anyway, of all the widescreen TVs I have seen over the past 5 years, either in a store or in someone’s home, this is certainly one of the best for what you pay. At the end of the day, I couldn’t be happier with my selection.

5 Stars Very happy with this purchase…
First off, did a bit of research before purchase; plasma vs. LCD, and am truly happy that I went for the plasma. But what made this purchase really great was the delivery and set-up with Prime. They provided tracking along with a delivery time of day in order to unpack and set up the TV to insure it was working properly. Oh, did I mention that I saved hundreds of dollars, not to mention sales tax, by getting this thru Amazon!

5 Stars BEYHOND BELIEF
I purchased this set a week or so ago and received it one day prior to the big ice storm here in the North East.

Amazon white glove delivery is exceptional and the guys stayed around until we got the set mounted on my stand. This took awhile but they hung in there I needed their lifting power.

The set was easy to set up and the picture in Dynamic mode makes you think you are in the NFL stadium of your choice. I am currently watching the Steelers and Ravens and have never seen anything like this.

My wife watched Garfield a tale of two kitties and could not take her eyes off the set. It blew her away.

Attached a Blue Ray DVD with ease and Iron Man was amazing.

Attached my wireless head phones and they worked without a hitch.

We have been out of power three times but never had a problem with this TV when it came up.

The bottom line is Samsung has produced one heck of a product and Amazon delivers as you would expect.

4 Stars Awesome for Movies and Video Games
The one main fault I find with this TV is that the anti-reflective screen still casts off plenty of glare and should be improved. It’s not too distracting while watching most movies or TV shows. However, the glare can interfere with video game play. I have the TV in my family room with no direct light hitting the screen, but the lamp behind my sofa causes too much reflective light sometimes. I would definitely not recommend this TV for those who have rooms with a lot of direct sunlight.

There are plenty of inputs for all sorts of accessories and gadgets. I have Dish, three video game consoles and a laptop plugged in with inputs to spare. Switching back and forth between devices is easy peasy, however, I really dislike that scrolling wheel on the Samsung remote. It feels sort of flimsy.

No matter what device is displaying, the picture quality is extraordinary. The colors are so vibrant and the picture quality is fantastic. It’s awesome and amazing for video games! Pixelation and artifacting is virtually non-existent. You won’t get this quality out of an LCD. Even low def channels look good. Blue Ray video in particular is stunning — way way better than movie theater quality. I’ve heard some comments about the black not being true black, but it is so darn close I think you would need professional equipment to tell the difference. The eyes sure don’t see it.

The onboard speakers are actually quite nice. A person doesn’t really need a fancy sound system to go with this TV. With the optical outputs though, the digital sound is great. Not sure if this is particular to Samsung TVs, but this is my second Samsung plasma TV where the volume fluctuates quite a bit from channel to channel, so you need to keep a remote handy.

I love the red frame. It has a modern-retro feel and it’s like adding a piece of art to a room, not just a TV. It’s super stylish.

5 Stars Amazing Value and Performance for the Price
I did my research like most techno geeks and decided to go with Plasma over LCD. Took into account the viewing distance from the TV to figure out how large of a tv to consider, the number of components that would need HDMI connections and so forth. Watching regular analog broadcast tv on this model isn’t anything to get excited about like most flat screens. However, tune in to a digital or HD channel or pop in a Blu-Ray disk on your favorite blu-ray player and this thing comes to life. Blacks are true, skin tones are accurate, no visible edge-blurring. Viewing angles are great from all around, sound isn’t the best, but more than adequate even if this is your only sound source.

I can’t say enough about this television considering I was able to get a Samsung Blu-Ray player as part of the deal for basically free, and free shipping for everything as a bonus! Delivery and set up was flawless. Great communication by the delivery company called “pilot” and friendly service. If you’re hesitating on this one . . . don’t. You won’t be sorry.
